The next morning I woke up late, I missed the first two hours of school. I stood up and looked out my window to see my mothers car gone, but strangely my father's car was still in the driveway. I rubbed the back of my head, I heard my father's voice with a very unfamiliar one. The voice belonged to another woman ,I slowly walk down the stairs to see my father's lips on some stranger, A gasp escapes my lips and he looks up quickly. “..Samantha!” he sounded shocked. “I thought you were at school” he finished. I couldn't speak for I didn't recognize him as my father, he was now a stranger...a horrible man. I turned and run up the stairs slamming and locking my bedroom door shut, i grabbed my phone dialing my mothers number. I could hear someone leaving the house and someone else running up the stairs. I panicked as my father slammed his body into my door, on the second try the door gave in and flung open. He looked at the phone i had gotten ahold of, he raised his hand and swung it hard against my cheek, leaving a perfect red hand mark. I fell back as my hands covered my cheek as tears fell from my eyes. He came close and pulled me up to my feet by my shirt, bringing his face close to mine. The smell of liquor was intoxicating. “if you tell your mother.. I.. Will.. Kill ..You!” .. he growled.
