Adeliese is a sailor. Or rather, her father is, but considering her entire life since the age of four has been spent aboard his sailboat, she probably qualifies for the title. When thirteen years of travel are abruptly cut short by an unexpected destination, Adeliese's dreams are left to rest at a standstill while her father's untold story is brought to life.
"How can you stand moving around so often? Don't you miss anyone?" he asks me.
I shrug. "I've never known anyone long enough to miss them, I guess. How can you manage to stay in the same place for so long?"
