Who am I living for?
I know it's probably weird for a girl who has cancer to be so well like me and all, but my family and I both agreed that I should live my life as long as I can. I mean of course when I get a cold it's more than just your typical cold and all, but that doesn't stop me from living my life. Even if I have cancer I am still a normal teenager, just one that has an experation date. So I'm starting this new thing where I make a video diary of what I have done the last 4-5 months of my life and then share it with my school so then they could see why I am so weird and care free.Complete
An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!Complete
New Girl
"You dropped this." I heard a husky voice say. I turned around to look at what I dropped and realized it was my schedule. I gasped. Damn, I would have been fucked if I'd lost it. I guess I didn't put it in my bag... I looked up to thank him, but ended up not being able to find my voice. He's really attractive. Drop dead gorgeous attractive. Hot. He has brown hair that is spiked up in a messy way and shiny chocolate brown eyes that are hard not to stare at. His jawline was firm and he is extremely tall compared to my 5'3" height; he seems like he's 6'1". He looks in good shape -- the white shirt he was wearing showed off his broad muscular chest. He wore a leather-mans jacket from the school over the t-shirt, with black denim jeans, and converse. I swallowed. I snapped out of it and took the paper forcing myself to say "thanks." However, he walked away before I even finished. OK... he obviously isn't interested in the 'new girl' like all the other students are. I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Out of all the guys that have hit on me in school today he is the only one that has caught my eye -- bad news is that he didn't even bother. "You know him? I'm surprised the cheer-bitch hasn't threatened you yet." Jessica said, her face showing shock. "Um, no I don't know him... and cheer-bitch?" I frowned confused. "She's his ex-girlfriend, but considering she has such a small brain that is a size of a peanut, she won't leave him alone. I mean like seriously, EX; has she not heard of that quote, 'Thanks for the EXperience, Our time has EXpired, now EXit my life.' She is one clueless bimbo. Then again who would leave him alone he is S-E-X-Y!" I laughed. "I am going to love being your friend." I said while I looked back to where he had headed a while ago, but I no longer saw him. How We Met
As I see my mom walk out the door I look at my dad smiling at me. The way he smiled at me made realize how afraid he was. I glance at him and give him a fake smile before he comes up to me and gives me a hug. The warmth of his body was reassuring but I feel the tears start to come down his face. I didn't want to lose him......ever. My dad Kevin who always is there by my side needed me there for him I glance at him and smile and he kisses my cheek. He whispers "Everything...will be alright." I wasn't quite sure what he meant but I nod my head. He lets go of me and looks at me before he turns away he says "I will be in my room if you need anything, okay princess?" In a quiet tone I respond with an okay. I recall my mom saying before she left to me " I love you Samantha." It just replays and replays in my head "I love you Samantha." I was a shy girl. I just moved here from New York. I know what your thinking the city with big bright lights but I lived in the country part on a little lake that meant everything to me. I had the biggest family that anyone could ask for and I loved them all so dearly. There was only one problem once one is gone they are all gone and before I knew it I was in Tulsa Oklahoma working small after shifts. I missed my sister and my cousins and my friends but sometimes you can't control what life does to you and I ended up here. All I wanted to do was make friends. I still wanted to be the pretty popular shy girl that didn't plan on falling in love but what I really wanted was my family of 16'cousins and 1 sister and to be back wake boarding early in the morning on Lime Lake with everyone I love.Complete

I'm just lying here in stillness and darkness wondering why. Why did this have to happen to my mom? We have nothing we can't even afford a house. Here I am a 14 year old boy that lives in a shelter home. Mom says one day we'll get out. But I've lost all hope. And I know my mom has no hope either. If she did I wouldn't have to hear her cry herself to sleep at night. I hate seeing her in so much pain. I wish, I could get a job. Maybe since I'm younger and a boy they'll hire me.
