Kai and Louis were best friends when they were little but when Kai moves to Australia they lose contact. Seven years later Kai is back in England with her best friend and sister Kiran. Cassidy Harris is an up-and-coming solo artist who has been selected by her management team who have become the new management team of One Direction after the backlash against Modest! in the past. She is around the same age as most of the boys' fans and has a similar sound to 5 Seconds of Summer, the previous headliners for One Direction who have since gone on to Tour on their own. The management team has done everything to keep a degree of separation between Cassidy and the young men to quell rumors as long as possible. Directionators and Directioners: terms known well in the fan fiction, tumblr, twitter, and internet world. Those are the two distinct groups surrounding One Direction, but Marissa isn't either of those. Marissa is a Direction Hater. She can't stand to listen to their music, and she doesn't understand the hype surrounding the boys. They, afterall to Marissa, are just a phase the girls are going through. One Direction are pretty famous, and so are their fandom; the Directioners. All Directioners have a bit of craziness hidden in them, and when they meet the boys of One Direction their craziness reaches the surface and becomes out of control.
