It's the root of war and trouble in the world, which is why a religion called Pastelin is created. It says that no magic will ever be used, for it makes people unequal, and causes violence. The idea was that no one would ever know who could use magic, and who couldn't, so everyone was equal. The problem was, magic is needed to protect the people from the war. Despite this, the law makers will execute anyone who uses magic. As for Jet, it might have been better if he had been executed. This world is not what it used to be.
