Whatever descriptor you can think of for Kate, she's probably been called worse.   It comes with the territory when you're the female owner of a ship.  She's not a pirate, and not a privateer.  Her crew is hired, not working in exchange for prize money.  They're not in pursuit of fame or fortune.  In fact, no one but Kate knows what they're truly looking for.

With the help of her 'guards', Luke Devlin and James Morrow, Kate is on the ultimate hunt.  The problem is, she isn't the only one.  And some people don't take kindly to competing with a woman.

**Note: this book is labelled as Adventure, but it could also be considered Fantasy.  It's not quite Historical Fiction, in that the world in which it takes place doesn't actually exist.
