St Francis clinic for Eating Disorders has a special program to assist people in their recovery of serious eating disorders. It is called the pen pal system, where they choose certain patients (more often than not people who have been to the clinic more than once) to write to a pen pal who has overcome a similar eating disorder themselves. The Participants are to remain completely anonymous and in no circumstances what so ever allowed to reveal who they are, or give out enough information for the other to guess who they are.
