When I look in the mirror behind the front door I see nothing askew but I look gorgeous for the first time in my life. Its not like my face has changed any but now I am almost glowing and my hair is falling perfectly on my face. Perfect. That's the word. I look. Perfect. I give myself a little spin and suddenly my jaw drops. My shirt is ripped to pieces in the back. You can see my skin and something else. Something entirely alien to me. • Dusk
    Dusk
The pale stars were sliding into their places. The whispering of the leaves was almost hushed. All about them it was still and shadowy and sweet. It was that wonderful moment when, for lack of a visible horizon, the not yet darkened world seems infinitely greater-a moment when anything can happen, anything you believed in. It's the most frightful time of the day-or evening. It's when all the monsters come out, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other unnatural things. But most people don't know it, they just go about their own businesses, frolicking around-not having a care in the world. It is in these times that they start to disappear. Distant screams, forbidding blood, creatures that lurk in the shadows. Within these shadows lies a deep legend that has been long forgotten...until now. Scarlett and her friends have been warped back into a horrifying legend that, to only one, was believed to be a myth. Now they must face the vicious creatures that dwell deep within the old library and murderous betrayals. With the stakes now higher than ever, one must choose between insanity and death. And what the hell is up with this blood oath that Scarlett is to repay? Their time now running out, they must survive until dawn and escape the accursed library for their own lives. But these creatures aren't going to let them easily go astray, dusk till dawn do they hunt, and they'll stop at nothing to make sure that no one sees the light of day again.

Watch Me Burn ( Savage MC Book Three)
Watch Me Burn ( Savage MC Book Three)
An hourglass was once used to show the passage of time, a tiny vile consisting of two glass bulbs connected vertically by a narrow neck which allowed for the trickle of sand from the upper bulb to the lower. An object of delicate beauty it demonstrated to the world what many feared most in life. Time running out. While what it represented was feared, none could ever look away as the sprinkle of sand moved silently into the lower bulb, filling as the top emptied. There was something majestically tranquil about how easily the sand slipped through the opening. And while an hourglass is most alluring to us, it still stands by its purpose. Our time will run out, no matter what we do to try and stop it. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * "She belongs with us, we're taking her back." his voice was harsh, a spit of fire to his words and I felt its flame run down my spine. I didn't reply because while I knew there was logic to his words I couldn't stop the curl of fury like a snake slithering up my body as the claim shot through my head, untamed. She is mine, she belongs to me. "Come get her." I invited, the threat evident in my voice and I heard him scoff in return. "You have asked for what is coming, Fox." he snarled down the phone before hanging up and I felt it in the pit of my stomach. Our time was up. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

    ON HIS WATCH

He was her stalker. But not the kind that lurked in the shadows with sinister intent. No, he was simply a man in love-too afraid to step forward, too hesitant to risk rejection. A silent observer, hopelessly drawn to the woman who had unknowingly become his entire world. To everyone else, he was intimidating. A towering figure wrapped in ink and muscle, exuding an unapproachable presence that made people steer clear. They never looked deeper. Never saw the quiet soul beneath the hardened exterior. Judgments were made the moment he entered a room, long before he even had the chance to speak. But she was different. She saw him. And more importantly-she liked being seen by him. If he thought he was going unnoticed, he was sorely mistaken. He wasn't a very good stalker-not by a long shot. She recognised his face, the way he lingered just far enough away to watch but never close enough to act. His clumsy attempts at remaining unseen were anything but stealthy, and truth be told, she found them utterly endearing. He wasn't frightening. He wasn't menacing. He was just a man, staring at her from the edges of his own fear, caught between longing and hesitation. But she wasn't going to make it easy for him. She wanted him to make the first move. She wanted him to prove to himself that he was brave enough to stand before her, to reach for what he so clearly desired. So, with a knowing glint in her eyes, she played along-her actions deliberate, her teasing methodical. She became a puzzle for him to solve, a challenge he couldn't ignore. And with each passing day, she felt the tension coil tighter between them, the invisible string drawing them closer. And really, if he ever wanted to harm her-which was laughable-he wouldn't stand a chance. The only thing he was a danger to was his own fear of losing her before he ever had the chance to claim her.

"...I don't draw on my body to make myself look badass, no, it was never that way. I see you glance at them whenever your sister comes in. You're interested and don't deny that, Mr. Look and Stay Silent." There was a girl, a reserved girl who worked five out the seven days of a week at a nail salon. She had artistic skills, which inspired her to spread her artistic love on her body. Some held a secret. Some held a memory. And some were just for a small smile to be produced any day. Then there was a boy, a reserved boy who had trouble with emotions and was seen wandering the halls of the school, only ever having his eyes on the floor he walked on. He had scars. One held his dark, haunting past that made his nonexistent tears fall. His scars made him frown, made his lips tremble, made his mouth form into a terrifying scowl. So when you place that one girl and that one boy in a room, what do you get? A journey. Started: 10/25/19 Ended: 01/20/20

She felt like Cinderella, unconsciously listening to an imaginary clock tick with each passing second. Time was of the essence, but she was completely out. She had enough. Justine raised from her seat and faced him, glaring daggers into his fearful irises as she raised her powerful voice. "I didn't think you were that foolish, Dax. You should be out, trying to live again, trying to find why you were given a second chance! Most people don't even get a single one to begin with!" He got up as well, countering her radiance with his. She continued to speak, her breath coming out as cold vapor in the frigid night. "You're wasting it!" she screamed. "You're selfish! Don't you care how it'll affect others? Those who love you?" "Everyone already thinks I'm dead!" Dax butted in, but she didn't let him stop her with a puny excuse. "What about me, huh? Don't you care about how I feel? You're my best friend! And the first time I lost you was hard enough. This time, it's different. There's new feelings that I've recently sorted out," her voice grew increasingly indecisive and conflicted as she spoke on, her eyes wavering. Then she looked at him with such devotion; her robust glare penetrated his soul. "You should be roaming the world, searching for the one thing that could save you! Death is permanent. You should be out finding that purpose, Dax, not here like an idiot staring at some silly girl who thinks a ghost may love her back!" Tears drenched her face, her eyes puffy and red, but mighty and high. He stepped closer, his flickering form barely touching her very real, live one. They bore into each other's eyes, feeding off the other's presence. Still, he refused to open his mouth and respond. "You should be finding that one thing that makes you happy," she whispered, now unable to peer up into his glowing black eyes. He bent down, his mouth just a centimeter away from her ear as he breathed, "What if I've already found it?"
