Dusk
The pale stars were sliding into their places. The whispering of the leaves was almost hushed. All about them it was still and shadowy and sweet. It was that wonderful moment when, for lack of a visible horizon, the not yet darkened world seems infinitely greater-a moment when anything can happen, anything you believed in. It's the most frightful time of the day-or evening. It's when all the monsters come out, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other unnatural things. But most people don't know it, they just go about their own businesses, frolicking around-not having a care in the world. It is in these times that they start to disappear. Distant screams, forbidding blood, creatures that lurk in the shadows. Within these shadows lies a deep legend that has been long forgotten...until now. She fought, but in the end her heart won out and because she could not kill him, she simply trapped him. Forever. ____________________________________ I ran through the woods. The trees seemed to bend towards me. The farther I went, the darker the world seemed to get. The color also seemed to dim as I ran. But I didn't pay much attention to that. I finally came to a large clearing, near the center was an hourglass, it was made out of diamond. I walked up to it. It was so thick I could barley see inside, although I did see something inside. I reached out and touched the diamond, it seemed to melt away leaving glass. I then spotted a man about my age throwing fire at the walls. I screamed. Then I woke up. It was just a dream, right?Complete

And with each passing day, she felt the tension coil tighter between them, the invisible string drawing them closer. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" An hourglass was once used to show the passage of time, a tiny vile consisting of two glass bulbs connected vertically by a narrow neck which allowed for the trickle of sand from the upper bulb to the lower. My face bounces of the wall, the sting of his slap left behind on my cheek. I shake the pain away, placing a facade up to hide the fear within. You fucking bastard! I narrow my eyes at him, taking note of his features in case I miraculously survive this encounter. His hair is a dark auburn and his eyes that watch me with amusement are a dark blue. His attire was a black suit which seemed out of place considering he was standing in an alleyway. If I manage to escape I want to be confident that'd I'd be able to have this bastard put behind bars. Again if... His eyes shift, my eyes widening as his eyes turn from a dark blue to a pool of black, red veins trailing along from his pupil to the edge of his eyes.
