PROLOGUE

“Hand me the shovel Josh,” I whined for the fifth consecutive time that afternoon. “What for, Bell? I am nearly done building the sand castle. Just give me another minute,” Josh huffed, clearly annoyed by my constant intrusion. This boy is too stubborn for his own good. Not anything I am not acquainted with though. It’s been seven years since we first met. Aunty Isa had just moved into the house down the lane in our neighbourhood and I was ecstatic at the prospect of having someone to play with at the age of seven. Our friendship was just meant to be. We just clicked the first time we met and so here we are seven years later, two best friends building a sand castle at the age of fourteen. Our maturity must be questionable at this point but that is how we are; two crazy earthlings practically joined by the hip. “What are you grinning at you goof?” Josh wriggled his eyebrows and I giggled harder. “Ah! I see you find this quite amusing Bell. Well, good thing I know how this situation could be funnier” an evil smirk made its way to his face. I knew exactly what was coming next and instantly sprung to my feet and bolted down the shore, with the course sand crunching beneath my delicate feet. I gasped for air as a smile broke onto my face, but a horrified shriek ensued as I realized that Josh was hot on my heels. His slender arm wrapped around my petite waist just when I lunged forward; sending us both tumbling down in the cool grainy sand....

Life seems pretty great at this point. But what happens 3 years down the line, when the ups and downs of high school life have drifted the once inseparable couple apart?

"Here, let me help.." I suddenly felt Trevor's warm presence behind me. My eyes watched as he slowly trailed his hands down my arms. Tingles flying in every part of my body as his hot breath fanned my soft skin, whispering "Ready?" into my ear. I slowly nodded, his hands landed on top of mine, both of us now holding the shovels handle. His chin rested on my shoulder, his manly cologne filling my nostrils. I bit down hard on my lip as his thumb gently traced my hand before slowly pulling the shovel up into the air, his grip on my hands tightened as we brought it down, instantly breaking the soil to pieces. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spoilt and used to getting her own way, Adriana is in for a shock when her parents decide to send her to a small town to live with her Grandparents for the summer. That soon changes though, when she gets to know him and learns very quickly how lucky she actually is. "I have a proposition for you that will benefit the both of us" "I don't want to hear it!" "Yes you do I know deep down you want to save the farm and your home" "Are you stupid or just deaf? Get out of my apple orchard and off of my land now!" I growl trying to not let his annoying presence distract me from work "Not till you listen then I'll leave" I continue to ignore him "I'm going to take that as a go ahead to speak, I liked that idea you guys had-" "Summer in exchange for saving our farm?" "Yes except I'd like to add my own terms is that okay with you?" "I suppose" I grumble "I want a fiancé in exchange for the farm, so I can please Mum's last wishes, that means staying at my house with us and staying the night, being seen in public with me, hanging out with me etc a normal relationship and of course satisfying my manly needs" copping the phrase he had heard Summer use "Summer would love that" I mutter "That's only my first term, my second term is I don't want Summer" he states gruffly "You want me to find you a fiancé surely being the great David Lawson that shouldn't be too hard" I snort as I start to climb down the ladder but I miss a rung and I'm about to fall to my death, okay that's a bit dramatic, a few metres. My fall of a few metres is cut short by David who catches me in his arms holding me firmly to his rock hard chest "I don't want Summer or some random town girl, I want you Maddie" he murmurs huskily into my ear sending a wave of desire through my body that disgusts me. I fight out of his arms till I'm on my own two feet. The rich douche wants me and I have a feeling this won't bode well for me. * * An excerpt, like it? Try it😌

Sequel to Jacob's neighbor We jumped ahead 2 years to see. Two people finally get back together. The friend group changed. Jacob no where to be found. An old friend moved to town. Blake making a move? On who though? Whats up with Mark lately? Then Someone getting in an accident? who? did they survive? Who looses their love? -- Some say the witching hour is 3am, others say 1pm, but how can it be witching hour if I'm not awake. I woke up at 5:30 am. My eyes held the status: bloodshot. I sat up, and thought to myself. I then got out of bed carefully, so Mario would wake. I put some slippers on and walked out. I made my way down the hall and turned into the nook where the entrance of the elevators were. I sat on the ledge of the window and leaned my head against the window. Admiring the view. "Can I join you?" A voice said. I responded instantly, by shooting my head off the window and in the direction of the source. "Sure" I said with a welcomed smirk. He sat next to me on the ledge. "What are you doing up?" He asked "I am pretty sure you know the answer to that from when we dated." I said with a small laugh "Nightmares?" He said smoothly. Like silk. I inhaled deeply at the thought of my last horror. "So, why are you up?" I said turning the subject around. "Couldn't sleep, so I came out here to watch the sunrise" He sounded so innocent. "I'm so sorry for everything I put you through." I said looking down "It's not your fault. You mentally got an ultimatum. You can't blame anyone for that." "I just don't know what to say. You've always been the sweet one to me. You treated me right. Thank you for being there for me." I said extending my arms. All he did was smile and accept the embrace. "I'll leave you alone to watch the sunrise." I said leaving him to the brightening sky. __ POV. I still do and always will...

Life had taken a turn for the better ever since my troubled brother was incarcerated for life. However, one day, a sense of unease crept over me and my best friend as we noticed a mysterious figure tailing us through the bustling town. "Ally, who's that man?" my best friend inquired, her voice tinged with concern. I scanned the area nervously, my heart pounding. "We should get out of here," I urged, seizing her arm as we hastily made our way through the crowded streets. Abruptly, I awoke from a disquieting nightmare, my screams ricocheting through the silent house. "Mom, there's a man chasing me in my dreams," I gasped out, my hands trembling. She attempted to soothe me, attributing the tumultuous visions to my overactive imagination. On one occasion, I inadvertently overheard my mom and aunt engaged in a hushed conversation, puzzling over what impending revelation they were deliberating. Eventually, I mustered the courage to confront the enigmatic man who had been shadowing me. "Why have you been following me? Who are you?" I demanded, my voice quivering with trepidation. "I am Aleekie Smith," he disclosed, leaving me dumbfounded. "You're the man from my dream," I whispered, the pieces falling into place. The drama unfolded further as I crossed paths with a former boyfriend adamant on asserting control, his aggression escalating to a perilous climax when he brandished a firearm. Feeling ensnared, I made a pivotal decision to extricate myself from the tumult, severing ties with everyone in a dramatic departure. Amidst escalating tension and conflict, an unexpected source of solace materialized in the form of my father, ushering the narrative into an unforeseen trajectory. To uncover the compelling trajectory of events that ensued, I urge you to continue reading. This is merely the entrancing prologue of the gripping saga that awaits. Don't forget to vote and comment!

This book is not rated mature but it does have ONE chapter where mature content is involved so PLEASE do NOT report this book. "And how do you suppose we do that?" I scooted a little closer to him and tilted my head a little, curious to know what his response would be. "Um well we could uh talk about our lives you know, school and family and friends and other stuff like that." "And do you really want to do that?" I asked him running a finger down his white t-shirt after closing the small distance between us. "Do you really want to just sit and talk about family," I leaned over to whisper in his ear, "and friends," I lightly nipped his earlobe while continuously running my finger down his shirt until I reached the waistline of his black jeans, "and school," I was just about to trace my finger over his zipper when he gripped my hand and looked me in the eye just as I finished saying, "and other stuff like that." I looked up from our hands to his green eyes, taking in the blueish specks of his irises, with a hint of hazel mixed, surrounding his pupil. We stared at each other for a minute, me admiring how close his proximity is and how the tingly sensation of his hand on mine felt good. "No I don't." Dominic groaned out, looking down at my lips and then back up at me. "No you don't what?" I leaned in a little, suddenly feeling drawn in to his green eyes and awaiting lips. ------ Ryler didn't expect to fall for him so soon. It only took her 2 days for her to realize how much she truly cares for him. Only 2 days for her to also realize it was a mistake. Only 2 days for her to feel heartbroken.
