Lina Pierson vacations to Hawaii and when walking along the beach, lightning strikes the sand dune so she rushes over to see what it did and she finds a large spot of black sand and lying in it is a clam with her initials on it so she takes it home and puts it in her fish tank as decoration but later finds that it cracked and she finds a pearl inside of it that changes her life forever .
