A story about a girl, a woman, a boy, a creature, and the people they know.
Blood trails and simple tails is more of a collection of story's than its own tale. It follows, mainly, a woman named Mage, a girl named Delilah, and boy named Levi, and a creature who calls himself, somewhat ridiculously, Red. They question truths and recall tales as they continue on living. Each person, however, has a flaw. Mage is hallow, Delilah stubborn, Levi paranoid. The one thing they have in common, however, is that they are all prey. And the predator has a fatal flaw of his own.

They are, however, not mates, and as such, he knows that any romantic relationship between them is doomed to fail. To not risk losing her, he therefore does all he can to fight his own feelings.
