Well, Allie has actual demons. Ones that follow her around and tells her lies. Though she doesn't think their lies. She believes them cause she doesn't know any better. She doesn't know about hell or Satan or demons. All she knows is that she's crazy because that's what everyone tells her.
Allie is severely depressed from all the mental and sometimes physical abuse she has to endure. She has tried to commit suicide several times but nothing works. All she wants is for it all to end. 
Then Allie meets a very starnge pair of siblings named Luke and Avery, who completely change her life in more ways than one. They teach her what life is truly all about and show her the only one who can get her out of the hell she is in. 
Allie is about to go on the hardest journey of her life but she'll learn that it'll be all worth it in the end.

Caleb is definitely a troubled child. Alone, with nothing going for him, he attempts to take his own life but fails at his first attempt. He desperately wants to try again but is put under constant supervision, especially by his new doctor, Dr Palmer.
