Jake is the son of the owner of an orphanage. His father walked out years ago, leaving him, his mother, and his little sister.

Mason is an orphan. He was left on the orphanage steps as a baby. He was left without parents, without a birthday, and even without a name.

As life goes on, the two grow close, but Jake's mother soon falls ill and he is forced to take over care of the orphanage. Then one day, just like his father, he too suddenly walks out. As Mason's world crumbles and he takes on Jake's responsibilities, he learns what it truly means to be human.
