"Scared, little girl?" She whispered with a grotesque smile as she held him against her chest, a knife at his throat. Scorpius.
I laughed with no humor and pointed my wand directly at her face. Her smile faltered. "I am. But never of you."
"Rose." I looked at him.
He whispered my name like a promise, squirming in her grip to get to me. Despite everything he wasn't scared, not for himself anyway. The knife dug deeper into his neck and a thin line of blood appeared.
I lock my eyes onto his and for the first time, I don't get nervous. "For you."
