"Where are you going?" He asked for the second time.

"Away" I simply replied.

"I'm going with you"

"No," I said. Heading to my bike.

"Why not?" He asked in a harsh tone.

"Because I don't think you're bad enough as they say you are, plus I don't stick around with spoiled boys" I said. When suddenly he spins me around so my chest was against his.

"Then I would have to show you how bad of a guy I could be."

We were a team. A confidence team, gaining your trust and ripping you off for every penny we could squeeze out of you. Stealing millions between pickpocketing, elaborate schemes against the rich, and knocking off banks; we made it big. We were good, really good at what we did. This time we were too greedy. We couldn't pass up a 4 million dollar art con. Each couple would have walked away with 2 million dollars and we could have settled down and finally started the family we had talked about for years. But he disappeared......in the middle of the night, abandoning me. Until he returned with a bullet hole in his arm and desperation in his eyes. Begging me to help him one last time, but could I ever forgive him? Could I ever look past his betrayal of leaving me in Tennessee to fend for myself and fight off the cops myself? ●●●●●●●●●●●●●● "What were the first words you ever spoke to me?" He asked softly, his thumbs wiping away the wetness from my cheeks. "No." I choked out. "Don't! I don't want to say it." "You said...Hi, my name is Alexis and I just moved into my grandparent's house across the street. Can I play with you? And I knew the moment I laid eyes on you...." "You were 10 years old, you didn't know shit." I croaked. "I may have been 10, but I knew a beautiful girl when I saw one. And you blew the rest of the world out of the water. I may have saved you by leaving you in Tennessee, but at least you still had your grandparents. I had no one if I didn't have you."

Alone. A simple word that has always held many meanings to Ella, and starting her senior year at a new high school, solitude had seemed the easiest way to go. A week passed, bland and unnoticed, before her plans quickly get thrown overboard. Losing one of her most priced possessions, she finds herself making a rather simple deal with someone from school. His name, for her book. There's only one little problem; she has no idea who this person is. Laughs and tears, friends and heartbreak, and the past that comes knocking on the door. Ella faces it all as she takes on the search to find her secret admirer. ___________________ "I can't believe him after the texts, the letter, the flowers. All these months and he just tells me 'we'll talk later'", I told him, feeling absolutely frustrated. I am so damn stupid, thinking this was gonna be something special or whatever. "It isn't him", he suddenly spoke and I just rolled my eyes. He doesn't even know what he's talking about, the imbisile. "It is, you don't even know what you're talking about so shut up", I cried out, walking forth and back for the hundredth time. "Listen, I do and it isn't him", he yelled this time and I stopped walking, angrily turning to him. Can he stop just pissing me off even more? "Oh yeah? And how are you so sure?" "Because it's me"
