After her biological parents were killed in a fire she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs, John and Mare Claire. At first John and Mary had loved little Kenna. As Mary could not have children of her own she clung to Kenna like a life preserver. Soon the love faded into pity when they took Kenna to a children's specialist.
