I'm not anyone important in life I'm just a girl with a dream. A girl with a dream and no way of making it come true. Its not easy having separated parents, not moving from your home and its definitely not easy having to make new friends every few years. Maybe life is about taking chances and living life, but It doesn't come easy.. at least not to me.

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! Tell the whole neighborhood and recieve an award for taking out a crazy in this world?" I spit like vomit. His eyes warmed up as I finished, "Lily. It isn't like that" "What is it then? People stopped caring... they gave up, why aren't you?" I fought my tears. "Because I feel the need to care. Did Leigh hurt you? Did she hit you?" he finally noticed the unusual redness of my cheek. I don't like the way he told me he needed to care for me. I felt like an obligation, a responsibility that he is carrying and carrying leads to getting tired and when people gets tired, they give up. I don't want them to give up on me. But they will, so it's good not to make them care for me in the first place. "I never needed anyone. I stopped needing anyone before, why start now?" I uttered the words again. Why? There is nothing to fight for. No mama. No papa. No sister to love me. No one. So why would I waste my life and the time of others to fix what is already broken - and someone who doesn't want to be fixed? If I may add. Maybe I gave up. No, scratch that. I gave up a long time ago - when my parents died, my hope and purpose went away with them.Complete

We've all been through ups and downs in life and not all of us can speak our minds. I'm not the kind of person that can just talk to anyone about my thoughts and problems. No I can't talk to anyone because no one knows what's going on in my life. I've tried talking to people but it just seems impossible for them to understand.
