Cameron Wynter was the schools bad boy, the sarcastic prick, the nobody; as in nobody talked to him, nobody bothered him, and nobody paid any attention to him; and he liked it that way. It wasn't just like that at school; it followed him home as well. Him and his parents never really clicked, or agreed on anything. Then there’s Austin Saunders who is the schools somebody. Mr. Popular, perfect in every way, player—in more ways than one. He and his team are the only ones that have any remote contact with Cameron, they pick on him on a daily basis; try to make him crack so they can call it out to the whole school. Cameron fights back every time, unsuccessfully I might add, but no emotion is ever shown, no matter how bad it hurts.

Austin’s dad is a therapist that helps broken families work out their problems. The families stay at the Saunders house and get examined. The Wynter family gets a call one day and it is Austin’s dad—Charlie—asking if they would like to participate. Knowing they couldn't say no because an officer told them that if they didn't work out their issues, they would end up in jail, and the kids in a foster care--They resentfully agree.

Austin’s world gets turned around when he takes the journey into Cameron and the families past. He sees Cameron in all his emotions, and he actually starts to feel bad. He finds out: maybe the schools bad boy hasn't got it all together.

---Oh. And did I mention that they would be sharing a bed?
