9 Mile Season 1. Freshman Year by AliMarr

I started writing this my freshman year of high school, all the way back in 2004. I was fourteen. So obviously, the beginning kind of sucks. But I promise it gets better. I guess it's not really novel-esque, but hey, it's my story damn it and I dedicated my whole high school career to this thing. Yes,the names in this story are completely weird, but that is because the majority of the characters are actual people I know, myself included, therefore I have used code names, especially since not everything is true about these people. And also a lot of inside jokes, so if something does not make sense to you, that is probably why. Now I know I am not the best writer, as there have been a lot of pointless, and open story lines, but hey. This was all in good fun. And I am very proud of this story. At least some people think that it is interesting! And yes I have stolen a lot of storylines/quotes from Degrassi. That's because I was obsessed. I truly was. And yes, a lot of things are very unrealistic, but I have also edited the shit out of this story to get rid of some of the dumb stuff my young teenage self wrote. Maybe I could publish this, but would need a lot of editing, lol. Also the name 9 mile came from a dirty joke. If you really wanna know, ask me and I will tell you. So yeah, enjoy!:)

This is a project I originally started in like.. 7th grade and I've re-written and re-written it over and over again and I'm publishing this now in hopes of it being the final version of the story. I'm not done yet and updates might be irregular, but I got a whole bunch of stuff on my plate next to this, I hope if you do give it a read, you still enjoy it. They say write about what you know, and this is sort of that, a little. My two main characters, Wylie and Elias, going over their days as trans guys in middle school; Wylie playing pretend that he's a cis-guy who has not yet hit puberty, and Elias, who's openly trans at his new school, even though he's been mentally scarred by his outings before. Elias is aroace and has depression; Wylie falls from one crush into the next and has severe trust issues and self esteem problems. The two of them have been, as mentioned, my projects for a longer time now, and I think I've got them right this time. He asks, hesitating on the crackers and pushing them away. "I just thought-it's just- well... you just always seem so pissed when someone mentions the word gay." I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes. I look away, towards the door to hide the crimson blush that I feel spread over my face. "Thanks." I all but squeak out. And that's the day I realized, I have a faint crush on my best friend. <><><><><< THIS BOOK IS BEING *MAJORLY* EDITED. THERES LOTS OF SPELLING MISTAKES AND NAME MIX UPS, SOME CHAPTERS WILL BE REWRITTEN Also, Please don't be mean to the characters, they aren't even close to perfect, but they don't deserve hate.
