The year was 2056, and humankind had finally developed the technology to create a mutation serum. The serum took the form of a green liquid, thick as blood. The humans infused the serum with various forms of animal DNA and injected the mixture into the bloodstream of unborn animals to change their form into a mutation, a sort of crossbreed of two or more different species. These Mutants were domesticated and sold in pet stores.
What these humans did not realize, however, is that once the Mutants reached a certain age, mutation alters the mental stability of most animal breeds. For a while, everything was seemingly fine. But suddenly, one day, Mutants began getting Triggered and losing control of their minds. Their mental state became alternate from reality, and once they recovered from a Trigger, they could not remember what they’d done. Those with less intelligent mindsets never recovered from their first Triggering. Mutants who were under a permanent Trigger were called Monsters, and were terribly unsafe and permanently bloodthirsty.
A small band of Mutants devoted their lives to finding a cure for Mutation, and set out to return the earth to its previous state. Gathering more and more accomplices along their way, they aim to take down the Resistance, the ones responsible for the continuation of the chemical reaction that causes Triggers.
((This is an accompaniment to an animated series I am creating. I wrote this out so I could get a better template for what to animate for each episode, and figured I might as well post this.))
When the truth comes out, there's nowhere left to run.

***
When Seth received a new virtual reality video game from his uncle, he wasn't expecting to get swept up into a whole new world called Eliona. As it turned out, Eliona and its people are far more dangerous than Seth could ever have imagined. There is a real consequence to playing this game: it's changing him, and it might not be for the better.
Now that Seth/Severance knows the truth of Eliona, there's no going back. Eliona is dying, and in order to save it, he needs to beat a very difficult dungeon before anyone else does. And on Earth, things are even worse. It's come to light that Eliona is leaving a mark on its players, and suddenly, everyone wants to be involved. Players find themselves with a target on their back, and Seth? He might just have the biggest one of all.
