Amberlee Waters grew up rough. From the way her parents died to the constant distrust she has, she hasn't found the right medium to be happy. She'd been pretty normal-until she finds out her illusive power.

Miraculously, she gets a full ride scholarship to a prestigious school from an anonymous donor. There she meets Elliott Grayson, a mysterious man who seems to know a lot about her. He's her biology teacher and was given the task of teaching her what she needed to know by the council of gods in her new world. However, she also has to find the person the goddess of love has made her soul mate and weave through the wicked games she loves to play.

Amberlee is stuck between keeping her scholarship and her power a secret, as well as the balance between the mortal and immortal worlds. Can she survive these tasks and find the man whom the goddess wants her with? Can Elliott keep his head straight and find his own match made in heaven?

While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has.
