EMERSON SPARKE'S RULES ON HOW TO BE NORMAL:

1. Avoid having a secret alter ego to cover up the fact that everyone you used to know thinks you're dead

2. Don't accidentally blow up half your high school - being deemed a threat to society is all fun and games until you're sent to a secret boarding school for superhuman freaks

3. Under no circumstances should you be running into burning buildings. Repeatedly. On multiple occasions. Ever.

[No. of Rules Unbroken: 0]

(Perhaps, it was time to redefine 'normal' anyway)

"Getting closer to me is like walking straight into the flames of a burning building." "Then burn me." I interrupted, staring deep into her eyes. "Engulf me in all your raging flames and let's see if I survive." She gazed at me for a moment, her head slightly shaking, eyes warning me, "You wouldn't want that... You'd only regret it." "I'd only enjoy it." I corrected. "I'd crawl through those flames, burning and melting down to the bone if it meant finding that one place of security. That one place that's free of flames." [For some people, the past is a place in your mind where you could reminisce on good times and valuable moments with the people you called family. For Nicole, it's where her darkest secrets lie and where the people who were considered "family" visited her in her nightmares. Trust is almost a thing of the past for her. She's avoided because of it, feared. No one dares to understand her, no one dares to even look in her direction... But HE did and he wasn't going to be pushed away easily.] . . . Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

[COMPLETED : 5|09|2016 and slowly editing ] He snapped his fingers and a red flame flourished into existence. "How did you-" "I'm a professional." He smirked, clearly enjoying this. If I got a penny for everytime I rolled my eyes at him, I would probably be a billionaire. In a limousine. With a hot wife. And a hotter girl to cheat on her with. And that too I'm straight. He flexed his palms and the flame disappeared. "With practice, even you can control your Blue Matter." I didn't say anything, just nodded. "This Blue Matter is stronger than Red Matter. It can destroy beings. Be careful with it." "Uh, so I am a DreamMaire?" "No, Sophie, you're the Dream Maker." _______________________ Sophie Hazelwood, sixteen, just makes it in the world with her confident aura and weird humour. All she wants is to be a singer and move over her past, however hard that might be. But she's not completely aware of what she's capable of. Meet Keith, new boy with a hot bod who changes her life in ways that could have never been foreseen. Join her in this journey as she fights off mythical beings, braving through broken trusts and shattered hearts. Highest Ranking #21 in Fantasy - 16/8/16 Hit one kay reads - 30/7/16 Reached two kay reads - 12/9/16 ________________________ Yes, the story will be kind of normal in the beginning but stay tuned for more! :D Also, there will be some usage of foul words, and you've been warned! Kind of a short book with less chapters, perfect for a quick read. Cheers! xoxo Affi ❤️

Better Undercover

19 parts Complete

Courtney had more problems than other high schoolers: she discovered that she has superpowers, watched her parents get killed, learned that ever memory of the past year was a lie, and was recruited by the girl who was responsible for altering her memories to save the world. Maybe it would be a good thing. Courtney could go along with the girl's plan, get her memory back and move on with her life, but in order to protect her siblings and the rest of the world, she has to embrace her powers. The plan takes a sharp turn when Courtney's powers take over and she becomes more dangerous than the original threat. Some things are better undercover, but sometimes facing yourself and fighting is the only way to make things right. But will Courtney destroy herself and everything she has ever known in order to set things right? Sequel to Staying Undercover, but can be read without reading Staying Undercover
