I guess when family members die from something not normal, the other family members become obsessed. Obsessed with hunting. Jayden Gray's mom and sister were killed in a demon attack and possession, Jayden's dad become more obsessed with hunting then he was before. When she is in a new town and school she comes across Sam Winchester. Also a hunter. But she's not aware of that.
