The story is about the life of an Taino Indian who loves someone who is entirely different from him. During the time the Spanish have conquered Puerto Rico and the rest of the Caribbean. Having to deal with harsh life of an Indian, as well as learn how to live with another person who is not a part of his tribe or race. What do their Life and legacy be passed on?

 "She shook her head. She looked down, she crossed her hands .Then she started to cry. 
    It took her what seems liked an hour. She said " Perdón, ( sorry ) but I cannot be with you." I looked she started to lie, I known her for years. I know when she is lying. I grab her and kept telling her to stop then she kept insisting then I snapped.
    I said " your saying it's because I'm Indio a savage considered by your people?!" I looked at her mad. I cannot believe what she is doing." She took me and told me to follow her.
