My name is Aaliah Mersais, I am an elementalist with the ability to control fire and water. There are hundreds like me living in the everyday world, at the palace, or in private schools. I am a prisoner at Vladimir Petrovis School for Elementalists and I would not wish that fate upon anyone. But there is a reason I am a "prisoner," it is so that I have no control on events outside of the force field around the school grounds. Having no control includes not being able to stop them from capturing my only childhood friend and using him to make me do what they want.  Except the problem is... He is more than a friend now. If he was still just a friend maybe it would be easier, but as it is, I cannot stand there and do nothing while they threaten to kill him. 
They might think I am the ace they hold in their sleeve, that hidden weapon they can use when they need it. I am not that. I am a teenage girl who only wants to love and be loved.All Rights Reserved

They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I'm the kind of girl who keeps her own secrets. I'm in high school and I still believe fairies....because I believe I am one. I've never had REAL magic but I can control wind spirit, and speak to her. Others believed along with me...but they always end up forgetting, or leaving me because they think it's just a game. I've been by myself since 5th grade. Now the Great Tree said it's time to train four other girls because another girl has taken over the Spirit of Storms. When she does that...I can't control my own powers...the wind spirit. How am I I supposed to get others to believe in fairies and magic when I'm just starting high school.
