Ever since his beloved wife died sixteen years ago, Agent Powers vowed to keep his daughter Michaela safe from the things that went bump in the night. But when an unexpected business trip arrives, the agent must bring young Michaela with him to a small, remote town known as Gravity Falls, Oregon.

Michaela Powers has always known her father as a strict, overprotective man, but she's never found out why her father behaves the way he does. Michaela's questions are answered when she is brought to a secret society in Gravity Falls known as the Dreamscaper Society. Michaela realizes she has a power that her dad never told her about, and that her mother's death was no accident- only one demon could've murdered her.

Now that demon is after Michaela, who threatens both his power and his existence. But with a little help from the Dreamscaper Society, Michaela may just have a chance of defeating the demon once and for all.

And that demon's name is Bill Cipher.
