"T- Tyler... Come here... now." Dylan's voice had a string of panic within it.
"What's wrong?" I asked, walking toward the living room.
He stayed silent, saying nothing as I looked at the television. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, it was the same blonde woman with green eyes saying something about the Marines, that was until I saw the headline at the bottom and it was labeled "Breaking News: 22 Year Old Female Platoon Leader Critically Injured After Explosion"
My jaw dropped and my heart started to race, I kept whispering to myself and shaking my head, cupping my hand over my mouth. I backed up slightly and Dylan looked over at me, "Breathe, Tyler."

A rustle came from the bushes. I whipped my head up, and a pair of luminous eyes met mine. Both fear and panic held me to the ground. I couldn't scream or move. The eyes blinked and lowered toward the ground. They took a step towards me and I matched it, taking a step back. A low growl came from the figure and that seemed to release me from my paralysis. I turned and ran, slipping as I came round the fence, my heart pounding. The heavy footsteps were coming impossibly close and this refueled my muscles and I sprang up coming round to the gate of the fence. As I ripped the gate open, I was slammed to the ground. Teeth pierced the skin in my leg and I let out a shrill scream. I felt myself being dragged backwards towards the trees. I let out another scream and tried to kick my attacker. With a growl, claws came and gashed my other leg and a scream ripped past my lips. Just as I was being dragged into the trees, the pulling stopped. I tried to crawl away and then to stand and run, but the searing pain left me falling to my feet. Blood was pouring out of my leg and I could feel myself slipping away. My attacker crouched, ready to attack again and I helplessly tried to crawl away all the while waiting for the pain and teeth to come again.... ---------------------------------------------------- One night will change Kate's life forever. It was a normal day and I was outside walking my german shepherd, Sammie. She had just stopped to take care of her business and I noticed the hooded man who had been following us for quite some time, approach us. I had figured he just didn't want to be rude and pass us, so I didn't mind. Now as he was approaching us, I knew I was wrong. I started to tug on Sammie's leash to get her to hurry up. When she wouldn't budge, I started to panic. I started to pull harder and as the man got closer, he took something out of his pocket. A gun. I screamed as he took aim and fired. Hannah Jansen was 17, a senior in High School. Her family was rich, her dad was a lawyer and her mom, a heart surgeon. She was an only child, and had tons of friends at school. She wasn't the snobbish kind of rich girl. She was sweet and nice to everyone. When Hannah was supposedly, "killed", everyone was devastated. While her father was working hard to find out who did this, everyone else was either grieving, or arranging funeral plans. When a letter came in the mail a week after the incident, everyone was shocked. The letter read: Dear friends and family of Hannah Jansen, I have your daughter here with me at my house. She is in my bedroom tied up and gagged. I have a gun on my bedside table and if you do not agree to my conditions, I will be forced to use that gun. And because I don't want to do that, I want 1 thing, not that hard, right? No. I want $10 million.
