She grew up in a science lab, never seeing the sky, never breathing the air outside. They experimented on her from the time she was too young to remember anything else. Her whole life spent in a small area, only seeing people when they came to stick needles into her, or cut her open. She was never good enough for them to be satisfied.
That was everyday life for her. But on one particular day, one very different day, she found herself with freedom in her grasp.
She knew nothing about the world around her, and had to discover it with new eyes, with her only friend, a boy named Darcy, to help her along the way.
A boy named Darcy, the only one to turn to when she discovers something about herself. Something morbid, that could only be created in a lab.
She has an extraordinary ability.
Her skin turns to glass, and shatters during certain instances.
But they aren't the only ones to figure it out, the scientists from the lab have caught on, and they want her back.
