James is an Undying, combination of two powerful mythological beings. After sudden memories of his earliest days come back to him, including the night his house was attacked and burned down by demons. Jame's is kidnapped by a group composed of other Undying, believing that he is the key to stop the Demon King's hostile takeover of the world.
Now on a so-called "heroes quest" to stop the King. While Jame' true abilities come to the surface, while he be able to control it or will he succumb to it's power? Following the perspective of 8 different characters from different backgrounds as they go on the quest to stop the power hungry Demon King. While also struggling with there own personal problems like love and their own inner demons.

He is the calm to her storm. Then there's Caleb, who is the storm. Constantly bickering and falling in love with each other all at the same time. Caleb becomes the want in her life. Romance, and fighting for someone other than herself is all new to her. Can she do it? Will she run? Or will she turn into the monster that she is afraid of and harm her new friends? This book consists of many life lessons. Anywhere from friendships, to romantic dilemmas, self-love and growth. Readers can range from, girls, boys, rebels, leaders, misfits, lovers, outcasts and the inbetweeners. This book also describes what a family can be made up of. "It wasn't me who shot her," he sits on a stool, resting his elbows on his knees. "Then how do you know she was shot?" "I saw it. I saw him kill her," his voice was riddled with such pure vulnerability and pain it begged me to believe him. "Who?" I try to sound sympathetic, but it comes out as scared.
