In the city of Infernum, when every child is born they're father is to take them outside of the city with guards where the Tree's lie. The first thing programmed into the child's mind is to carve they're name into their Tree. When the Tree dies so does the person who's name is carved  into it.

Alexis is 17 years old, soon to be 18. She's always happy and her hugs are the best things you can get from her. Alexis loves her Tree, everyday she visits it. On her 18th birthday she and her best friends go to her Tree do have a party, but when they get there all that's left of her Tree is a stump.
