Hello, my name is Tyler Harris, and this I is my account of my experiences in basic training and battle in Afghanistan while serving in the U.S. Army, including finding friendship, love, and much, much more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Note: This is not my real name, I have not been in the service, but I will one day. I get most of this story from my brother, my mother, and several other family members who have served. I also get inspiration from my JROTC battalion Senior Army Instructor, Major Robert Griffiths, and my battalion Army Instructor, First Sergeant Alan Bakes, both retired. Thank you all for your service and giving me inspiration. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The basic training portion of this book is divided into eight chapters, one for each week of training. I don't know how I'm going to write the post-basic part.
