"Elizabeth" he whispered sweetly, ushering me to answer his accursed riddle. "Ok ok bozo, keep your suspenders on, my answer is.. ------------------------------------------ I imagined a lot of ways I'd go out but I never would have thought my life would be based on if I correctly answered a riddle. A riddle given to me by a crazed circus clown with freakishly long arms, a cone nose and sweet, candied breath. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry to disappoint everyone reading this book looking for a fairytale ending because this is not that book and fairytales are lies they don't exist, no dear sweet prince, there is no glass slipper left behind, no frogs to kiss, and certainly no fairy godmothers to come and save the day only tears, pain, and regret. 𝐒𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤 (𝟏𝟖+) Sakshi had just stepped into her nineteenth year. She was not like other girls - instead, she was very timid, shy, and quiet, with a heart as pure as holy water. She grew up in a family of five, where every day she saw her father hurting and torturing her mother without any reason. Watching this pain at home, Sakshi slowly lost all her dreams about marriage and love. To her, marriage was not something beautiful - it was something to fear. One day, without asking for her opinion or even telling anyone else, her father fixed her marriage with a man a few years older than her. Hearing this, Sakshi felt her world fall apart. Fear gripped her heart - what if her future husband turned out just like her father? What if her life became another cage of pain and sadness? Terrified and helpless, Sakshi stands at the edge of a new life she never asked for. What will happen to her now? Will her husband bring her happiness, or will history repeat itself?
