A Future Without

It became dark slowly, with my vision closing in on itself. At first I was horrified, but as it drew to its conclusion, I was enthralled with the foreign magic. At once there was a brilliant, colorful light in my sight. It was full of colors I had never seen before, and it spun slowly, keeping my undivided attention. The light began to turn red, and it bewildered me at first. The light began to flash, and I swore I could see the sound of it making a high-pitched noise, but I couldn't hear it at all. My mind began to race until I was at a full panic, and the light died entirely. Disembodied voices surrounded me in this dark space. Then the sensation of being touched. Where, I couldn't tell. It was warm and beautiful. I felt as if, now, I was floating through some thick puddle. Where am I?
