Clara has just moved into a house in Mystic Falls she had inherited from an uncle she never met, and only heard his name twice. Both weren't exactly good. There she meets the whole group as well as the mysterious and slightly cruel Damon who seems to push her away the most out of all of them. She must overcome the darkest of secrets so she can cease to exist.
