One year after agent 3 got the great zapfish back from Octavio, a new leader of the octoling army named Octavia wants revenge on those inklings. So Octavia comes up with an evil plan to steal the great zapfish. The plan was a success. They stole the zapfish, once again. And to make things worse, they killed agent 3. Now with agent 3 dead and the zapfish gone, all of inkopolis seems doomed. But not all hope is lost. When cuttlefish needs a new agent. (Or agents) a certain cyan inkling and her best friend volunteers to become the new agents of the squid beak splatoon. Now they must face the fierce challenges that lies in the mysterious octo valley, find the great zapfish and save inkopolis from a horrible fate. And during there long journey, they'll discover some unknown secrets. Hey squids this is my first story so plz don't judge. Thanks! ~ Taylor

Agent 8 feels unsure and unwelcomed to the city as he is forced to hide his identity as not all inklings accept Octolings into their home. Not only that, but he also has a problem with getting along with Agent 3! But what happens if a mysterious, unknown threat comes toward the surface, threatening to destroy both Inkling and Octoling kind alike? Can the agents work together to save their race?
