Everybody in the world has a soulmate. When you are born, you're given a necklace with a pendant, it has the year you'll meet your soulmate on it with a intricate design. Only 2 are exactly alike, if you meet a person with the same pendant, then they are your soulmate. You don't have to follow what your pendant tells you but if you do then you'll find your soulmate. The pendant unlocks when you're with in 20 feet of your soulmate.

Louis spent his entire adolescence excited at the possibilities of what his tattoo would look like and who his soulmate would be, until his 18th birthday. The day of everyone's lives where they're supposed to have had their tattoo already. Now, 5 years after the disappointment of not receiving one, Louis has completely given up on ever finding someone. He's given up on ever getting a tattoo, on ever finding a soul mate, and on ever being loved. Until he meets Kealleigh a month after her 18th birthday. (This is a short story.
