In the cultural town of Princeton, New Jersey, the Velo family seems to have reached economic stability after years of hardships. A young father tries to give his two children everything out of his reach, but he does it out of pure love. 

However, the Velo siblings upbringing seems to be a bit hazy. Ruth and Johnathan enamor themselves with the existentialistic airs of Princeton night-life, and they start searching for nights of fun, pranks, and even possible buds of romantic curiosity. They both start their senior year in high school, and they make friends during their first semester who will help them achieve such a mischievous agenda. On the way, they question established systems, literature, identity, values, and sexuality; in search of life's very meaning. Meanwhile, their father is patiently waiting for them to come home from their "night out to the movies"...

Ruth knows that such reckless behavior brings nothing good. However, Ruth is in search for some answers about her own life. So, will she obey her fathers whims on a sedentary and dreamy lifestyle, or are her friends not that crazy? They say that you only live once...
