Lydia Bradley's life was just fine the way it was. She had good grades, an impressive work placement that would get her a job anywhere she wanted once completed, as well as a widower father and autistic brother to look after. She was the glue not only for her family but for her community and to anyone else who knew her. She even kept the gang leaders level-headed. She might have been slightly under appreciated but she was much loved...which is what got her in this mess in the first place.
Luckily when you have the tendency to keep your head down in everyday life people tend to underestimate you. Which is a mistake everyone in her life will learn one way or another.
