Sirens are beautiful creatures that entrance humans. In the past, sirens would lure humans to watery deaths. However, now humans have become powerful and sirens are going extinct due to recent poaching. Any sirens or other creatures are either killed or brought into slavery due to the Kings laws. Those creatures who are deemed useful are put into slavery. Nola is a siren who was captured young and has little knowledge of her species, but many expect she is the answer to a prophecy involving the emancipation of all supernatural people.
