Inspired by true events. Sage Briar had high hopes for her sophomore year of high school. As Lakewood High's new rising choir star, she believes she finally knows what she wants to pursue in her life. But after breaking up with her boyfriend Troy Hillson, she decides that she needs an entirely fresh start. Her goal is to simply focus on school, maintain friendships, and above all, do not fall in love with anybody all over again. Sage learns that sometimes, maybe life doesn't run on a straight path. Adam Rossman is the hockey player Lakewood High adores. It seems as if his entire life is set in stone, scholarships are available galore, and girls practically throw themselves at him. His path may be skewed as soon as he meets a girl that's not like the others. J Herriot doesn't quite know where he's headed. He knows he's got talent, being in all of Riverview High's theatre shows, and making it into every honors choir known to man. He's told he's lucky, but they don't quite know what's going on inside his head. Declan Wright knows he's an odd ball. But who could blame him, his interests are all over the place, including choir, physics, and U.S. history. All he really needs is someone to put him on the right track, the only problem is finding someone with the patience to do so.
