Influences on this story include fairy tales (especially Beauty & the Beast), the movie "While You Were Sleeping," the miniseries "Kingdom Hospital," the tales of Ivanhoe, Tristan & Isolde, the comic series Fables, the video Game "The Wolf Among Us," the tabletop roleplaying games Changeling: The Dreaming & Changeling: The Lost, and various personal experiences.

Throughout this series, six characters develop their powers and their relationships with friends, with siblings and with romantic and sexual partners. They travel through time and to alternate dimensions both by accident due to a lack of control over their powers and intentionally due to being summoned to help save their world or a time line. The series is light and the individual novellas can be read on their own in terms of the story itself. Velly try's to show that she doesn't mind, but her boyfriend trying so hard to prove her wrong and work all of the sudden becoming even more difficult than it intends to, sometimes that little feeling tugging inside her begins to seem to be making the most since. Even when it means seeing family that you thought you'd never see again. Chapter 4: A Dreamers Mistake- After finally meeting up with her twin sister again, Velly couldn't have been happier. Though, she knew she was going to have a LOT of explaining to do afterwards. Along that, Amber is actually developing something for Oliver. But she doesn't quite understand it. For some reason though she is finding Oliver a wee bit suspicious. Just when she thought it was just Amber thinking too much into it, she over hears Oliver talking to someone... but who?
