There wasn't any other word to describe the encounter other than star-crossed. She was an out-of-it writer yet to be discovered, and he was an avid book reader who had yet to travel the world like he wanted to. It was a rainy afternoon in Venice, sometime around spring, and it was a little hole in the wall coffee shop. -:¦:-

She walked in with her hands full of books and notebooks, her hair all acrazed. She stumbled into the seat before him, her books falling all over the table, the book of her own writing falling into his lap by accident. Intrigued and excited, he asked if he could read it, to which she agreed, but warned him that he would be the first to read it besides her. -:¦:-

Once she finished her cup of coffee, she scribbled her address on his hand, told him to meet her there to give the book back when he was done and left without another word. He returned home, and stayed up all night, unable to get enough of the book. In the one night he'd read the book, he'd fallen in love with it, and with the girl who wrote it. So, he goes back to return it and ask questions, along with loads of praise. -:¦:-

But, when he knocks on the door, she is no where to be seen, only leaving a small note posting to the wall, the girl apologizing that she had to skip out on him. She said that if he truly wanted to find her, all he would have to do was follow the book. So, enthralled with the idea of searching for her, he began to hunt after her, and with every step closer to her, he begins to notice things in the book that he never noticed before, slowly unlocking the secrets to her past, learning just who exactly who the girl from the coffee shop was, and the true meaning behind the book she wrote. -:¦:-
