Captain America: The Past Can Hurt (Captain America/avengers/not a love story)

This is not a love story, but this is a fan fic that takes place during the Winter Soldier and Civil War. Hope you like it!

Love really is the worst weapon of all, isn't it? Sometimes it is love that is a girlfriend-boyfriend, sometimes as simple as friend or sibling.

The last thing I can remember clearly is getting strapped down to a chair. Hands putting my head into place and pain. The pain consumed me from head to toe. Slow and painfully, I couldn't remember things. Some memories were there. Some things like names, others a laugh or a smile. Oh his smile. I can't remember how I know him. It's like someone has stolen my thoughts and I'm in a maze in search of them all. I slowly open my eyes and find myself on a bed. I sit up slowly taking a deep breath and take a look at my surroundings. A door across from me had a little slit in the door about eye level. I look around the room a little more. A small cool draft was coming down so I figured I was underground somewhere. I try to get up and I hear a small clank. I look down and see that my left leg is made out of metal from my knee down. I looked at closely and study it. It seems to be connected to my thoughts somehow. I flex and point it for a little to see how it works. It doesn't work nearly as well as my actual leg does, but I could get use to it.
