SHADOW IS AZH'NAHN, A POWERLESS MAGE born into a culture that prides itself in sharing the earth's powers. When he chooses a life of voluntary exile to preserve his family's honor, Shadow receives a mysterious call to witness the unearthing of kotrakoy, treacherous telepathic beasts with four wings and four rows of teeth. As he watches their unholy resurrection with great horror, kotrakoy open their minds to his and offer a glimpse into what life would be like wielding a mage's powers.

As Shadow races to warn his people of the impending threat, he discovers a mysterious Trayki woman hanging from the trees and on the verge of death. Uncertain what to do, Shadow initially hesitates to rescue this woman whose people embrace technology and eschew his culture. As Shadow tends to her glider crash wounds, the earth unites them in a soul bond, a sacred union that gives Shadow an unerring duty to protect and preserve her life. And that duty will be fraught with peril: Trayki troops begin bombing Hiwalani villages and while losses mount, magic evolves and Shadow's people lose their power.

The Hiwalani must rely on inexperienced youth to master the new magic and stop enemy attacks. Desperate to save their people, few make any progress at all. Only the outcast azh'nahn seems to understand it - and very few trust his judgment. When Shadow believes he's unlocked the solution, it involves empowering the most deadly kotrakoy and risking the complete annihilation of his people. While his solution sounds reasonable in theory, there is no time to test it - it's UNPROVEN.

Our main character is going to learn that your powers do not define who you are as a person. Arion Griffin lives in a society where people with light magic are 'good' and people with dark magic are 'bad'. He comes from a long line of dark magic. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. He makes friends and learns that just because he has dark magic, doesn't mean he is evil. *Idk if this is actually a good story but I had a lot of fun writing it! :) *This story has been edited

"Why are you doing this? Why did she put me up with some slut?" he snarled getting in my face. "You are no fit to be a Luna. I should just reject you right now." My face was blank as I looked at him. "You have no idea how wrong you are," I replied. "And go ahead and reject me. It'll not phase me one bit. I had not planned on joining a pack or having a mate." With that, I started to walk away, before I turned back and glaring at him. "Also, get to know me first. You might be surprise as to what I can offer." And with that, I walked out of Starbucks, upset that I didn't get pa- I mean... laid. At least... I smirked pulling out my mate's wallet from the back of my skirt and looking at it. I did get his money. ______________________________________________________________ Skylar Ross, mainly known as Sky, hasn't had the best of pasts. To begin with, she is half human and half wolf. Her father, the Alpha of her old "pack" was mated to a human and had her. "A mistake" as her father puts it. "Not worthy to be the Luna of her pack". So what'd he do? Abuse her, torture her, rape her, etc. and made her watch him kill her mother, his mate. At the age of five, she ran away with her best friend, not wanting to stay there anymore after her mother had been killed. With the help of some rogues, the two females had mastered fighting at a young age. And by the time they were 8, Sky started a group of rescuing those that were abused, just as she was. She thought it'd be better to have a life as a rogue than have a life of slavery. Now, at the age of 18 and 8 people later, Sky is about to get the time of her life as she enters the Dark Shadow Pack and the Alpha Drake Shade, the youngest running Alpha. With him and her group, her whole life changes as she fights to be the Luna as her father had thought was not possible for the half-breed. A/N: I suck at descriptions. -.-

"Goddess," he begged. "Please help me protect my people." "God," Another one prayed in the front seat of his truck. "Please help me keep my kids safe." "They're all I have left." They both spoke in unison, reaching the ears of their respective deities. They were both some of the strongest men of faith, going through so much hardship. While one tries to protect their home, another seeks to find a safe one for his family. "I believe it's time," She spoke to the woman next to her. High in the sky they floated, their dresses dancing in the moonlight. While her dress was one with the beams of soft white light, the other woman had a dress of gold, showing the sunlight that she mainly stayed in. Her wings were pure white, her hair a vibrant red. She had much color, while she kept with the soft colors of the moon, her own hair white and long, soft as silk. "I can't promise that it will be perfect in the beginning," the angel spoke, looking down at the man in the truck. "But he is of a kind heart, even if it is untrusting at first." "I'm sure Declan can handle that," the Goddess of the Moon smiled at her. "Out of all the challenges he has faced, I'm positive that this won't be difficult for him to achieve." "Out of all the challenges that my soldier has faced," the angel grew a worried look. "I'm worried that this might be the most difficult." *** Wolf Peak has many tales of good and bad, but never has it struggled as much as it was right then. At this point, they're willing to take any chances they can to save their residents from evil in the forests. Even if that means trusting a new family coming into town. With clashing religions and trigger fingers, both men are in for a bumpy ride.
