Dean is just going through the motions of his day, when another student by the name of Castiel dives into his car and tells him to run. Castiel is avoiding being caught or arrested after taking part in a protest that turned violent fast, and the unlocked car seemed to be the perfect escape.

(this story includes triggering things such as: bullying, self harm, abuse, etc) Dean Winchester's life is complicated. After his mothers death, he has basically raised his little brother, Sam. Their father has hardly been in their lives, his job as a drug dealer requiring him to disappear for long periods of time and causing them to move around a lot. But when their dad finally gets arrested, a man named Bobby Singer takes the boys in and enrolls them in a more permanent school. And as if his father's incident wasn't hard enough on him, Dean begins to question his sexuality when he meets quiet, introverted, and (he must admit) quite cute Castiel.
