Jay is an outcast, haunted by the ghost of her mother, living with an abusive and alcoholic father. Her only hope is to graduate and go off to college leaving behind the small town she grew up in. She has her future planned out. She's got the good grades, the scholarship, and the determination, but then Daman comes into her life. He's cold, warm, distant, breathtaking, and dark all at once.
Daman opens Jay's eyes to the cold truth of her reality. The truth she has been trying to run away from: It won't end well for her. Daman offers Jay a way out of the darkness she's only ever known, but will Jay let Daman help her, or will she be sucked into the black hole that is her inevitable ending?
"Are we mates, then?" Fenn found himself asking.
Atlas nodded.
Fenn looked away again. He wasn't sure what to think of that. That nagging feeling deep inside him warned him that the Alpha might be lying. With his wolf gone, he was vulnerable. If the Alpha had figured out he was an Omega, pretending to be his mate would be an excellent way to trick him into bearing a child.
"I know you're probably not ready for all that entails," Atlas said with a sigh. "We can take things slow. Even pause it entirely if you need time to just heal. Just say the word."

After escaping the cruel confines of his captors, Fenn stumbles across a pack that could change his life forever. However, his past has taught him that some secrets are safer kept secret, and that no one should be trusted. Will he be able to open himself up or will he be crushed by the weight of his trauma?
There was only one thing Fenn knew for certain: he had to catch those responsible for his years of torment before they could catch him again.
