She was a mystery. And I think that’s what intrigued me. I wanted to know more, I wanted to understand her. At first she pushed me away whenever I got near, she would duck her head and turn her back on me. For weeks I tried to talk to her or at least steal a glance. But with each day that passed, she seemed to shrink more and more into her own world. She looked helpless, like a child who was screamed at too many times. I would lay awake at night, restless, desperate to know what she was hiding, I didn’t know this girl, but I wanted to. I wanted to know her name, her favourite colour, what her background was, what she wanted to do with her life. As cheesy as it sounds I wanted to know every detail about this girl. I was prepared for what her story might bring, but I was ready. I was ready for this adventure. And in the end, so was she.
