The Butterfly
- Being Transformed into who you were made to be
-by Chris W. van der Merwe (me)
-Date written: 2015-08-21

This poem was written as part of a letter to a special friend, however I thought to put it here so that it can impact, transform and touch more people than just her.

The subject is finding your identity in Christ, resisting the lies of the evil one over your life, and being transformed into His (God's or Christ's) image just like a lowly caterpillar is transformed into a glorious and beautiful butterfly.

The key Scripture is: Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed [as by metamorphosis]) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
