"I run fast with it clenched in my fist
A gem as dark as the shadows
I could barely see it in the night
All I could think were thoughts of horror
The branches hitting my face were fierce
Scratching my skin and drawing blood"
-The Vampires Gem sestina by Austin Avery (But truly by me)
The vampire's gems are an old collection of jewelry. They're are used to disguise vampires from each other and from humans. And the best part is you only need one piece to hide you.
Adrianna thinks that it is just part of an old sestina called the Vampires Gem. But what if it is based on a true tale about a young man that once stole the Vampires? What happens when Adrianna actually meets a mysterious vampire boy? And what if they knew each other from a past life?
(Don't worry he doesn't sparkle. TWILIGHT I'M LOOKING AT YOU! (JK for all of those twilight fans out there))
Enjoy.
