Really, Alex isn't pathetic at all. Alex is a diamond in the rough; Alex is the small light surrounded by the dark. Alex hates himself for all of his little flaws and little mistakes but he can't help that. He can't help a lot of things. He can't help wanting to be in a loving family. He can't help his panic, and his anxiety (which are two different things). He can't help those thoughts screaming "What's the point?!". He can't help loving the colour red. He can't help loving Jack.

Jack's side:
